The Richland School Board plans a retreat Friday to discuss a number of issues facing the district.
Topics include expansion of the district's Highly Capable program, the possible future of charter schools in the district, the proposed $98 million bond issue and Delta High School.
District administrators plan to talk about safety and emergency management. That information was requested in the wake of last month's massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut.
Board Chairman Rick Jansons has said the board isn't expected to make any decisions at the retreat.
The meeting is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the district headquarters on 615 Snow Ave.
