About $10,000 in jewelry was swiped from a Kennewick jewelry store early Thursday, authorities said.

Kennewick police were called to Crown Jewel, 1220 N. Columbia Center Blvd., at 6 a.m. after the burglary alarm was triggered by glass being broken, said Sgt. Ken Lattin.

When officers arrived, the suspects were gone, but they found that a rock had been thrown through the glass front door.

About 10 trays of semi-precious stones were missing from one of the display cases.

The store does not have surveillance cameras, Lattin said.

Anyone with information about the suspects or the burglary can call Kennewick police at 682-0333 or Tri-Cities Crime Stoppers at 586-8477.
