Business in the Cloud: Understanding Technology as a Service will be the topic of the Tri-City Regional Chamber of Commerce's Jan. 31 Business Development University sponsored by Bank Reale.

The workshop will be from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Bechtel Board Room of the Tri-Cities Business & Visitor Center, 7130 W. Grandridge Blvd., Kennewick.

George Woodward of elevate and Nancy Ashley, Ph.D., of Washington State University Tri-Cities will discuss how to:

w Translate cloud jargon into plain English.

w Cut out the hype and take a hard look at what the cloud can and can't do.

w Know the pros, cons, risks and rewards of using the cloud in your business.
