DON PARCHEN, Commander, Post 115 American Legion

Benton City/Richland Post 115 of the American Legion, in cooperation with Jan Sass and Barbara Feaster, sent 500 candy-filled Christmas stockings and cards to Walter Reed and Bethesda military hospitals in the Washington, D.C., area in early December.

In addition, about 75 more stockings were sent to the Walla Walla Veterans Hospital for patients there. Post 115 is very grateful for all the help received from its members and the public in filling each Christmas card with signatures and thank-you messages to our wounded veterans.

A large number of cards were signed by staff and students of Kiona Benton High School and students and staff at Liberty Christian School in Richland.

Thank you all so much for remembering our veterans.
