Space heater causes Kennewick house fire

A space heater is suspected of igniting a house fire in Kennewick this morning when a blanket or other combustible material caught fire. No one was hurt in the 6:30 a.m. blaze at 1206 E. Sixth Ave. The two-bedroom home had no working smoke detectors, said Kennewick fire officials. BOB BRAWDY — Tri-City Herald
