Kiona-Benton dominates Grandview wrestling tournament

Kiona-Benton came away with eight champions at the Annual Grandview Winter Classic, earning the team championship over the host Greyhounds on Saturday.

Seven of the Bears’ eight titles came at 145 pounds and above, including championship pins by Kale Setzer (145), Cruz Del Angel (182), Tanner Cook (220) and Cody Zyph (285).

Grandview earned three titles — Marizza Birrueta (106), David Castaneda (126) and Joesiah Saunders (138) — to finish second with 139 points. Ki-Be totaled 2111⁄2 points.

Prosser finished third with 1021⁄2 points.
