Congressional fiasco

January 6, 2013

So the country avoided the "fiscal cliff" at the last minute. This situation has been with Congress for all of 2012 and only because of a hard deadline they did something -- sort of, maybe.

While the politicians dealt with the tax cuts and unemployment, they delayed any action on spending cuts and the upcoming debt ceiling issue. To top things off there was no action for the Hurricane Sandy victims.

In watching all this stuff on TV, the only thing that I can think of that describes the situation is Curly, Larry and Moe standing there slapping each other silly. I would venture that the next couple of months won't be any better.

These jokers in Congress are derelict in their duty to the American people. They need to be replaced by the voters.
