Austin Seferian-Jenkins, who had been a dual threat for the University of Washington in football and basketball, is reducing his workload.

Seferian-Jenkins will not suit up for the basketball team this season.

According to a story on the UW website, the sophomore said, "I just need to focus on school and get (rested)."

Last season, Seferian-Jenkins appeared in 17 games, averaging 7.2 minutes, 1.1 points and 2.1 rebounds.

In football, he has been a standout tight end for the Huskies. This season, Seferian-Jenkins helped UW reach the Maaco Bowl Las Vegas, where it lost to Boise State on Dec. 22. His 850 yards receiving in 2012 set a single-season record for UW tight ends.
