The Desert Arts Council will present Dancing with the Hermiston Stars at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 12 in the Performing Arts Center at Hermiston High School.
Dancers with the Utah Ballroom Dance Troupe will train local people for the dance-off.
Hermiston business owners Dorothy Smith and Joedawn Wambeke will be the local celebrities, along with Hermiston Assistant Superintendent Bryn Browning, Hermiston Mayor Dave Drotzman, Agronomist Don Horneck and farmer T.J. Hansell.
The dance teams will do the cha cha, fox trot, salsa, jive and tango for the competition. The Utah professional dancers also will perform a few routines for the audience.
Tickets to the show are $20 for adults and $18 for ages 17 and younger. Tickets are available at www.desertartscouncil.com or by calling the Hermiston chamber at 541-567-6151.
