Irvin Hernandez, 7, gently blows away his coloring shavings Wednesday while decorating a quetzal bird craft at the Regional Service Corps Warm Up with Cool Books reading and craft event at the Keewaydin branch of the Mid-Columbia Libraries in Kennewick. The free event, staffed by AmeriCorps volunteers, features stories, games, crafts and guest speakers. It continues Thursday and Friday at various locations and times. He was attending with his sister, Stephanie, 9, and mother, Erika Hernandez of Kennewick, not pictured. Contact your branch library for specific details on how and where you can attend.
