Visiting Mt. Hood had five players score in double figures en route to defeating Columbia Basin College 90-80 in a nonleague men’s basketball game on Sunday in Pasco.

Jerid Ronquillo led the Hawks (1-9) with 19 points and eight assists, while Kyler DeWitt added 17 points.

Blake Updike came off the bench for Mt. Hood (4-8) to score 20 points.

WENATCHEE VALLEY 64, CBC 57: Sierra Higheagle and Kelsey Yenney each scored 14 points, but it wasn’t enough as the Columbia Basin College women fell to Wenatchee Valley on the final day of the Chemeketa Holiday tournament.

Dani Bray led the Knights with 21 points, and teammate Kassy Larson — a Kamiakin High graduate — added 13.

Hockey

Outlaws beat Vancouver 6-1: Brett Myer scored two goals and Bo Bettinson, Travis Questad, Alexander Highley and Aaron Questad each added a goal as the visiting Tri-Cities Outlaws defeated the Vancouver Vipers in Nor-Pac Hockey League play.

Outlaws goalie Casey Kaiser picked up the victory, stopping 33 of 34 shots.
