Ginger Baird Wireman will sign copies of her children's educational book, If Wishes had Wings, A Fall Flight of Fancy, from 4 to 7 p.m. Dec. 29 at the Hastings bookstore, 1425 George Washington Way in Richland.

Wireman is a local environmental educator who teaches children about the shrub steppe, groundwater protection and salmon in a voice they understand.
