Artists showcase starts Jan. 7 at CBC in Pasco

Published: December 27, 2012

Artists Molly Wicks and Eric-Alain Parker will showcase their paintings starting Jan. 7 in the Esvelt Gallery on the Columbia Basin College campus in Pasco.

Wicks creates mixed media paintings that include paper, steel, tacks, scrapbooking brads, push pins and nails. Parker's paintings reflect the Palous landscape where he earned his master of fine arts. He uses oil paint applied with a knife to construct laminated, structural masses that reference the geological history of the landscape.

Parker will give a talk about his work starting at 2 p.m. Jan. 7 in room P201 at CBC, with an artists reception to follow in the gallery. Gallery hours are from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and from 8 a.m. to noon Fridays. Admission is free.
