White Christmas may be in forecast after all

BY THE TRI-CITY HERALDDecember 25, 2012

Tri-Citians hoping for a white Christmas might get their wish.

The National Weather Service in Pendleton said rain and snow are expected to move into the area this afternoon, with a couple of inches of snow possible by day's end. Highs are forecast to be in the upper 30s, with the temperature dropping to at or below freezing overnight.

There is a chance of some snow Wednesday, said Ann Adams, an assistant forecaster.
