A Mattawa man was injured Sunday when a Kennewick driver struck his car in snowy conditions 35 miles north of Richland.
Jose Garciaperez, 29, was eastbound on Highway 24 in a Honda Accord about 9 p.m., according to a release from the Washington State Patrol.
Joseph Norris, 30, was driving westbound in a Pontiac G6 when his car lost control and struck Garciaperezs car.
Both cars were totaled and Garciaperez was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland. Norris was uninjured.
The state patrol said driving too fast for conditions was the cause of the crash, according to the release.
