Volunteers from Tri-Cities Animal Shelter in Pasco will have a Stock the Shelter Food & Supplies Drive and open house from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at the shelter, 1312 W. 18th St., Pasco.
The shelter takes in lost, abandoned and abused animals from Richland, Kennewick and Pasco. There are more than 150 animals at the shelter, which needs dry cat and dog food (including kitten and puppy chows), canned food, kitten and puppy formula and bottles, new and gently used throw blankets, dish cloths, baby blankets, wash cloths, dog and cat treats, new and used pet carriers, nonfabric animal toys, laundry detergent, bleach and garbage bags.
Students from Kamiakin High School will accept the donations, show visitors around the shelter and provide information about adoptable animals and volunteer opportunities.
