Girls basketball: Hanford beats Pasco 57-35

Sydney Shintaffer scored 17 points, and Colette Gall finished with 14 to lead the Hanford girls basketball team to a 57-35 Mid-Columbia Conference road victory over Pasco on Wednesday night.

“I thought the girls picked up their intensity in the second quarter, and we put together a couple nice runs,” Hanford coach Evan Woodward said, noting the Falcons’ 18-10 advantage in the second.

Melissa Rodriguez led the Bulldogs with 14 points, and Jalayne Martinez chipped in nine.

Rodriguez was Pasco’s top scorer Tuesday night in a 51-38 road loss to Davis.
