Beau McCue scored twice Tuesday to lift the Tri-City Americans to a 4-1 win over the Seattle Thunderbirds in the Western Hockey League at the ShoWare Center in Kent.
McCue, who has 11 goals this season, opened the scoring for Tri-City just 58 seconds after the opening faceoff.
Justin Hickman tied it for the Thunderbirds later in the period with a power-play goal.
Tri-City took the lead on the first goal of the season by Ryan Chynoweth in the second period. Malte Strömwall, who also had two assists, made it 3-1 in the third period before McCue rounded out the scoring at 14:00.
Eric Comrie made 29 saves for Tri-City, now 20-12-3 on the season.
Seattle lost its fifth straight and is now 16-17-2.
