The Tri-Cities Cancer Center is offering a free lymphedema prevention class.

Lymphedema is a swelling that occurs in the arms or legs because of problems in the lymph system.

The disease affects men and women and must be treated by draining the lymph fluid.

Early detection can help prevent discomfort and permanent damage.

Reservations can be made at or by calling 737-3427.
