The Ice Age floods that repeatedly inundated what now is the Tri-Cities and their impacts on Columbian mammoths will be discussed Monday in Richland.
George Last, a senior research scientist in the Geoscience Group at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Richland, will give the presentation. He is the geologic research coordinator for the Coyote Canyon Mammoth Site near Kennewick.
His free talk is part of PNNL's Community Science and Technology Seminar Series. It will be at 7 p.m. at the Richland Public Library, 955 Northgate Drive.
