A woman was injured Saturday afternoon in an ATV crash in the Hover area of Finley.

She was airlifted by a Medstar helicopter to Kennewick General Hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries, said Captain Devin Helland of Benton County Fire District 1.

Firefighters from Benton County Fire District 1 and medics from the Kennewick Fire Department responded to the call at 2:30 p.m.

The woman and several other people were riding their ATVs when her vehicle hit a ditch or a jump and she flew off. The vehicle then rolled back onto her, Helland said.

"It was time beneficial to use the helicopter, and jostling her over the dry creek beds, dirt tracks and brush would have caused her more pain," Helland said.
