Most Washington employers can expect unemployment tax rates in 2013 to stay the same or drop, the state's Employment Security Department has announced.
Some will pay more because their layoffs increased in the past four years. Others may see a slight increase because taxable wages will grow from $38,200 in 2012 to $39,800 in 2013.
The average total tax per employee will rise by $37 to $499 for the year. Each employer's bill will depend on wages paid to employees and the employer's rate class.
