Fundraising success

December 13, 2012

KAY JOHNSON, Kennewick

I would like to share with the community some good news about what happened Dec. 2 at the American Legion Post 34 in Pasco.

I was the lucky winner of an Ed Daily Christmas Concert, from KORD Radio. Ed and friends provided us with all kinds of good entertainment that afternoon. The good news is we raised more than $2,300 dollars in donations and nearly two truck loads of canned goods. The money raised and the canned goods will go a long way in helping the American Legion serve some of our veterans and their families needs over the holiday.

I also had assistance from the Young Marines and many members of Post 34. Ed and the volunteers did an outstanding job, and they assisted in making this a successful fundraiser to serve our veterans.

Once again, a big thank you to Ed Daily, the Young Marines and American Legion Post 34 family.
