December 15, 2012 - Trevor Patton of Richland winces in pain Friday as his mother-in-law Jean Matthews of Kirkland props his legs up to reduce swelling so he can have surgery to reconstruct his right foot. Patton and his son Brandon, 13, were hit by a wrong-way driver Dec. 1 on Highway 240. Patton, who does not have a job or health insurance, is facing a long road to recovery after suffering broken vertebrae, ribs, hand and wrist and a bruised lung.
