A full 47 percent of the members of Congress are millionaires whose earnings in-part are paid by taxpayers. That breaks down to 110 House Republicans, 73 House Democrats and 36 Senate Democrats and 30 Senate Republicans.

So, when we taxpayers ask Congress to pass legislation to raise taxes on those earning $250,000 a year or more, are we asking Congress to shoot themselves in the foot?
