The second annual Horn Rapids Landfill holiday pet drive has begun and will run through Dec. 31 in Richland.

Donations of pet food, supplies or cash are welcome and will be donated to the Pet Over Population Prevention organization.

The drive hopes to surpass last year's collection of $780 and 250 pounds of pet supplies.

Horn Rapids Landfill is off Highway 240 at 3120 Twin Bridge Road, Richland.

Hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. The landfill will be closed Dec. 24-25 and Jan. 1.
