I was just reading the Fast Focus feature in the Nov. 25 Tri-City Forum section. I read 17 letters on Black Friday. So much negativity, all but one or two of the letters were so bah humbug.

Hey, our system of capitalism is based on all of us -- businesses and individuals -- making choices according to our needs and wants.

What I see on Black Friday are a tremendous number of generally happy people purchasing gifts for other people. If you choose to mingle with the crowds on Black Friday, then I say more power to you. Let the happy holiday season begin.
