Virginia Tiwater-Gier and Pete Gier of Kennewick celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Dec. 1 at the home of Jamie and Scott Livingston in Kennewick.
They were married Dec. 5, 1962 in Couer d'Alene, Idaho.
Virginia owned two Curves for Women fitness center franchises and was a pari-mutuel teller for Emerald Downs.
Pete retired in 2010 as the business agent for the Carpenters Local Union 1849.
They raised Simmental cattle for many years, providing calves for 4H and FFA.
They now spend time traveling and going to car shows with their classic 1970 Mustang Mach 1, which was their first new car.
They have one daughter, Jamie Gier-Livingston of Kennewick.
They have two grandchildren.
