Max Browne threw for a record-setting 384 yards and four touchdowns to help Skyline beat Bellarmine Prep 49-24 for its second consecutive Class 4A championship Saturday night in Tacoma.

The USC-bound Browne completed 21 of 28 passes with one interception as he broke the title-game yardage mark of 374 set by Puyallup’s Billy Joe Hobert in 1987 and the touchdown record of three, held by nine players. He also set the total offense record with 403 yards.

Skyline (14-0) won its fourth championship in five years and tied the title-game record for most points.

Sefo Liufau, a Colorado recruit, threw for three touchdowns and broke title-game records with 33 completions and 45 attempts for Bellarmine Prep (12-2), which was playing in its first championship game.

Class 2A: Record-setting performances by quarterback Josh Kraght and receiver Zac Vis led Lynden to a 41-7 victory over Tumwater for its second consecutive 2A state championship.

Kraght completed 16 of 27 passes for 376 yards and four touchdowns for Lynden (13-1), which won its fifth title in seven years with the victory over Tumwater (12-2). Kraght also rushed for 55 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries. His 431 total yards set a title-game record.

Vis had nine receptions for a title-game record 271 yards, breaking former Prosser star Kirby Moore’s mark of 267, set in 2008 against Lynden. His three TD catches tied a record shared by Moore.
