Oregon football state final results

Keegan Lawrence ran for 132 yards and three consecutive touchdowns, and Sherwood defeated Marist 46-20 for the OSAA Class 5A state championship Saturday in Hillsboro, Ore.

Cristian Morris ran for 145 yards and two more touchdowns for the top-ranked Bowman (13-0), who also won the state title in 2010, when they defeated Marist 26-23 in overtime. Sherwood fell in last season’s title game to Mountain View, 14-13.

Andrew Park rushed for 73 yards and two touchdowns for third-ranked Marist (11-2) which also lost to Sherwood 38-20 on Sept. 7.

Sherwood racked up 428 rushing yards in the game, compared with just 90 yards total for Marist.

Class 4A: Quarterback Braden Phillips passed for three touchdowns and ran for two more, and Baker defeated North Bend 52-22 in Hillsboro.

Phillips completed 12 of 20 passes for 211 yards, while running for 49 yards. Trent Taylor ran for 67 yards and two touchdowns for Baker, which won its second state title in three years.

Baker’s defense held North Bend to just 203 yards.

Class 3A: Nathan Bernards’ 1-yard touchdown run with 8:01 left in the fourth quarter gave Dayton the edge in a 34-28 victory over Cascade Christian at Cottage Grove High School.

Cascade Christian had tied the score with 11:52 remaining after Daniel Scottow threw a 10-yard TD pass to Josh Brite.

Class 2A: David Henry rushed for 263 yards and four touchdowns to lead Oakland to a 50-27 romp over Portland Christian for the state title in Hillsboro.

Class 1A: Joshua Mattox threw two touchdown passes in the first half, and Camas Valley rolled to a 24-8 victory over St. Paul at Cottage Grove High School.
