Kadlec Regional Medical Center officials this week announced the receipt of an "A" grade on hospital safety from The Leapfrog Group.
Leapfrog publishes scores for some hospitals on the website hospitalsafetyscores.com.
The scores are based on data related to preventable medical errors, injuries, accidents and infections, a news release said.
"We are honored by the 'A' grade," said Kadlec President Lane Savitch in a statement. "It is a testament to the work of our staff every day to provide the best care possible to our patients. At the same time, we recognize we must continue to be vigilant with regard to patient safety."
The Leapfrog Group, based in Washington, D.C., is a nonprofit that offers hospitals a service in which they can subscribe to reports measuring their performance and comparing performance of hospitals in the Leapfrog database, the company's website said.
