PROSSER -- A man was hospitalized Thursday after passersby found him tangled in a wire fence in the Prosser area.
He was incoherent, possibly suffering from exposure, authorities said. He was taken to PMH Medical Center for treatment and was expected to be transferred to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, said Benton County Sheriff's Lt. Brian White.
Sheriff's officials would not release the man's name at the request of his family. He wasn't carrying identification, and authorities weren't sure who he was at first. They said he appeared to be in his 60s.
Passersby found him about 11:15 a.m. caught in a fence between a home and a pasture on West North River Road outside Prosser, White said.
