Melvin Kenneth Nelson, 99, died Nov. 29 at his home in Kennewick.

He was born in Waubay, S.D., and lived in the Tri-Cities for 12 years.

He was a retired civil engineer with the Corps of Engineers.

Hillcrest Memorial Center, Kennewick, is in charge of arrangements.
