Think small

Thank you, Tri-City Herald, for the article, "Keeping it local in Tri-Cities," on Nov. 22. It's the small businesses that keep us afloat. I'm tired of going to all of the "cookie cutter" stores and supporting their big revenue. They count their profits in the six and seven digits, while many of those who have small businesses work to keep family fed and clothed.

True, the prices may be a little higher in some cases, but keeping it local is the thing to do. In the long run, it benefits all. I was out on Nov. 23, Small Business Saturday, spending my locally grown dollars in many stores in the region.
