— Hanford whistleblower Walter Tamosaitis will speak Thursday at Whitman College in Walla Walla as part of the Government Accountability Project’s “American Whistleblower Tour.”

Tamosaitis believes he was removed as a manager from the Hanford vitrification plant project for raising questions about the future safe and efficient operation of the plant now under construction.

Contractors on the project have strongly denied that.

Liz Mattson of Hanford Challenge also will discuss her organization’s efforts to protect whistleblowers and provide information about Hanford.

The talk will be at 7 p.m. at the college's Maxey Auditorium.
