A recent survey shows that only 579 of Benton County's 62,070 residents can expect the government to take car of their fallout shelter needs. Civil Defense Director Fred Magune said, "it shows what we already knew. That locally we don't have protection. The people must realize that they have been thrown back on their own devices.
