Tri-Cities Airport opens 110-car parking lot

Published: November 27, 2012

Holiday travelers using the Tri-Cities Airport found more parking than ever because on Thanksgiving Eve, the Port of Pasco opened its 110-car overflow lot south of the terminal's main entrance.

Since 2006, passenger traffic at the Tri-Cities Airport has grown almost 30 percent, an increase of 100,000 passengers. Port officials said the need for more parking became clear during the 2011 holiday season. Research indicated that at one point, just 23 parking stalls were vacant.

The parking fee is the same as the airport's current long-term rate, which is $9 per 24-hour period. Payment is by credit card or debit card as they exit the lot. Passengers also can pay inside the terminal with the Pay-on-Foot machine.
