Janet and Richard Lyons

Janet and Richard Lyons of Kennewick celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Nov. 3 with a formal dinner at Cedarbrooke Lodge in Seattle.

They were married Nov. 7, 1952, at St. James Lutheran Church in Seattle.

They moved from Des Moines to the Tri-Cities in 1990.

Janet was an office supply representative in the Seattle area for eight years. She is a pastel and oil artist. She volunteered for the Burien Arts Gallery for seven years.

Richard was an Army sergeant in the Korean War from 1952-54. He was a driver/ salesman/dispatcher in the concrete and construction supply business for 35 years, retiring in 1990. After retiring, they traveled to Arizona and bought property in Florence, Ariz.

They have three children, Diane Lyons of Desert Aire; Annette Lyons of Puyallup and Steve Lyons of Seattle.

They have seven grandchildren.
