Tri-City American fans are encouraged to participate in a book and food drive organized by the Western Hockey League club, the Children's Reading Foundation of the Mid-Columbia and Kadlec Regional Medical Center.

Those who donate new or gently used books will receive a ticket for the chance to win a full color 8-gigabyte Amazon Kindle donated by Kadlec. Tickets also will be given for food donations.

Donations can be made at the following American home games: Dec. 11, Jan. 18, Feb. 8 and March 8. A drawing for a Kindle will be held during each game.
