President Obama's senior campaign adviser David Axelrod said on CBS's Face the Nation recently that his next project will include inspiring young people to become journalists.
The curriculum of the Axelrod School of Journalism intrigues me.
Here are just a smattering of what I expect will be offered to enterprising students.
w J-101: Basic obfucation.
w J-210: Information manipulation.
w J-220: Obstruction of news releases.
w J-311: Character assassination.
w J-400: Creating candidate halos.
w J-230: Journalism editorial collusion.
w J-240: Serial duplicity.
w J-260: Advertising vote value of economic class warfare.
w J-275: Managing gaffes of the administration through compliant media.
w J-380: Putting spin on history and ethics.
w J-404: Smoke Screens, diversions and other ploys to convert lemons into lemonade.
w J-410: Exercising care in salacious e-mail profusion.
w J-420: Correct timing for race card introduction.
w J-440: Media and culture under influence of $1 billion advertising budget to take care of friends.
Full faculty roster not available at this time but will include such notables as James Carville and Joe "Chuckles" Biden as well as Professor Axelrod and Rahm Emanuel, instructor in "to-the-jugular," "no crisis wasted," semantics.
I can't wait to see who signs up for graduate work.
