The Horse Heaven Round-Up was voted best large rodeo of the year for the Columbia River circuit.

This is the second big win for the Kennewick rodeo. It was voted on by rodeo cowboys. The Horse Heaven Round-Up also won the top position in 2007, up against renowned rodeos in Pendleton and Ellensburg.

The "large rodeo" category is for events that provide more than $5,000 purse for each event. The 2012 Horse Heaven rodeo in August had an $8,000 purse for each event.
