A Kennewick man lost control of his semi-truck Wednesday morning, overturning his rig and striking a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe, the Washington State Patrol reported.
Humberto Gonzalez, 50, was driving south on Highway 395 at James Street north of Pasco when he lost control of his 1999 Freightliner about 5:30 a.m. His rig overturned and hit the Tahoe driven by Bernardo G. Magallanes, 39, of Yakima, which was in the northbound lanes.
Gonzalez was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, and Magallanes was taken to Lourdes Medical Center in Pasco, both with unknown injuries.
The crash closed the highway for about two hours, said the state Department of Transportation.
Gonzalez faces charges of speeding and negligent driving, the WSP said.
