A 26-year-old Richland woman allegedly stabbed her boyfriend in the chest with a knife from a butcher block at his apartment Tuesday.

The man drove himself to the hospital after he was stabbed about 7:40 p.m., according to Richland police.

Richland police searched the apartment, but Jessica A. Peterson no longer was there. Her current whereabouts are unknown, according to a news release.

The man was treated and later released from the hospital Tuesday evening.
