Helping hand

SCOTT and DAYNA ROSS, Kennewick

Our business recently received a grant offered through the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce called the Small Business Incentive Program.

I would like to thank Washington River Protection Solutions and the other companies that contributed to the Small Business Incentive Program.

Their generosity is appreciated.

We opened our Plato's Closet franchise in July of 2009. Business has met and in fact exceeded our hopes for our first three years of business. Like most small businesses, however, we do make purchasing decisions based on what we really need vs. assets that are important to have but are third or fourth on the list of priorities.

With the funds provided by the Small Business Incentive Program, we purchased a color laser printer that fell into "the assets that would be important to have" category. With this printer, we are able to provide professional-looking in-store signage and flyers that were not possible with our previous printer.

Again, we thank the contributors for their generosity.
