Roxie Trunnell, 27, of Kennewick is recovering from a disease which caused swelling in her brain in the fall of 2009. The disease which originally presented similar to a flu-like condition, left her in a coma. She likely suffered a stroke or stroke-like brain issue, which left her unable to talk or walk. With her father by her side, Roxie has fought against the condition for three years and is making progress including riding her dressage horse Touché again and is continuing to pursue a masters degree in psychology.
