A text message claiming you've won a Target gift card is actually a scam, according to the Better Business Bureau.
The text messages include a link that the scammer wants people to follow, said Chelsea Dannen, spokeswoman with the BBB in Spokane.
The links go to bogus websites where scammers are trying to get personal information from people in exchange for getting the supposed prize, she said.
Similar scams have been reported with Best Buy, Apple and Walmart gift cards, she said.
