Washington runners continued their dominance at Nike Border Clash on Sunday, sweeping the Beaverton, Ore., event that pits the top high school runners from Washington and Oregon.

The Washington boys rolled to 15-45 victory as Squalicum's Patrick Gibson won on the 3-mile course in 13:44, with three more Washington runners finishing within 2 seconds.

It was the fourth time in five seasons Washington has scored a perfect low of 15 points, and the fifth score was 16 points. Washington has won seven straight boys races and four in a row on the girls side.

Neither Kamiakin boy, Ahmed Ibrahim (28th) and Austin Oser (33rd) factored into the Washington scoring. Among scorers for Oregon was Hermiston's Alejandro Cisneros, third for the state and ninth overall in 13:57. Teammates Eduardo Juarez and Jose Macias placed 20th and 42nd.

The Washington girls prevailed 23-32, with a 1-2-3 finish from Glacier Peak's Amy-Eloise Neale (15:33), Camas' Alexa Efraimson (15:34) and North Central's Katie Knight (15:44).

Kamiakin's Megan Beauchene (36th) and Michelle Fletcher (42nd) also ran for Washington, while Hermiston's Maggie Coleman (49th) and Katie Markwick (80th) ran for Oregon.
