EPHRATA -- Larry Schaapman, a Quincy farmer, has been selected to serve as a Grant PUD commissioner.
Commissioner Randy Allred resigned because of health issues, and Schaapman will complete his term, which expires at the end of 2014. The commission was unanimous.
Schaapman will represent the southwestern portion of Grant County, including Mattawa, Royal City and rural areas west of Moses Lake.
