Richland girl doing well after kidney transplant

Published: November 20, 2012

Ashlynn Griffin of Richland received a kidney transplant at Seattle Children's Hospital on Nov. 9, her family said.

Ashlynn is the daughter of Susan Sisson Griffin. Born in 2001, Ashlynn was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney failure.

Volunteers raised money to pay for the transplant earlier this year.

Family members said Ashlynn is doing well in recovery and hope she may be home before the new year.

Continued donations can be mailed to the Children's Organ Transplant Association, 2501 W. COTA Drive, Bloomington, Ind., or made at COTAforAshlynnG.com.
