GRESHAM, Ore. -- Tournament MVP Robyn Schirmer had 35 assists and eight digs to lead the Blue Mountain Community College women over Spokane 25-18, 25-17, 25-12 to win the NWAACC volleyball championship in Gresham, Ore.
The Pendleton school's roster includes Kamiakin graduate Amanda Garner, Kennewick grad Meghan McIntyre, Southridge grad Kensey Mix, Hermiston grad Crystal Schmidt and Kamiakin grad Tori Softich.
Blue Mountain's Kassi Howarth and Schmidt made the first unit of the all-tournament team, as did Walla Walla's Courtney Cosdone.
Blue Mountain's Piper Cantrell and WWCC's Desiree Nelson made the second team.
Kennewick High grad Brittany Evans plays for Spokane.
